




ANZCO Foods Manawatu have an opportunity for an Engineering Supervisor to join our busy Engineering department. This is a full-time permanent position. The purpose of this role is to co-ordinate civil and site service maintenance for the business units on an on-going basis and to provide leadership for the site service maintenance teams. We are looking for an experienced Supervisor who can demonstrate strong leadership skills, an understanding of Health & Safety requirements and best practice. This position will report directly into the Site Operations Manager. As we are a fast-paced environment we will be looking for the successful Candidate to be able to demonstrate organisational abilities, flexibility and enthusiasm for a processing environment. Duties and Responsibilities will include: * Compliance of Health, Safety, Quality and Environment * Maintaining engineering costs within the approved budgets including R&M, Capital and Utilities * Developing and executing plans to agreed milestones to minimize operational losses (downtime, quality, rate) and cut waste * Improving plant capability, asset integrity, equipment reliability and machine efficiencies to achieve competitive advantage in product uniformity and manufacturing investments * Overseeing the maintenance operations via Supervisors, Planners and Engineers * Plant Performance Improvement - Monthly review of Loss Reports and ensure targeted improvement plan is in place * Developing area leadership improvement plan based on current culture and learning requirements * Managing team performance & conduct, and drive accountability of team * Finance and waste reduction * Supporting delivery of supply related efficiency and initiatives Skills and Experience we are looking for: * Civil Trade and / or similar technical certificate * Strong CMMS / computer skills * Supervisory / maintenance experience and training * Minimum 5 years post trade apprenticeship and 3 years in a leadership role. * A sound understanding of technical civil maintenance techniques We deliver taste, nutrition, and wellbeing to the world with products made from New Zealand finest beef and lamb.
