Reporting to the Asset Engineer, this role is responsible for providing technical asset management services, enhancing services to clients and supporting the contract operations teams. The primary role of this position is to ensure that engineering processes and deliverables that are related to infrastructure asset management are carried out to the required company and contract standards, as well as to analyse and manage asset information data, assist with the setup of hardware and software systems used in the collection of asset data. You will find yourself performing tasks such as but not limited to: * Work with field data collectors, road inspectors and frontline staff providing training and quality processes. * Assist the Asset Engineer and Delivery team with programming and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders * Support, implement and adhere to H&S policies and procedures * Managing the processes associated with the provision of data and condition collection including inspiring a team of inspectors **Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills** You will ideally have some civil construction experience in road maintenance/ 3 waters, along with: * A relevant tertiary Engineering or Information Technology or science qualification * Ability to manage and develop effective working * GIS experience is advantageous * Experience in contract engineering, spatial analysis or information management **Ko wai mātou | Our Organisation** Want to know more about what it is like to work at Downer? The RoleWe're looking for a reliable and hardworking Workshop Assistant/Labourer to join our client's galvanising clean-up and dispatch area. This is an essential role supporting tradesmen by preparing, handling, and dispatching parts. While the work is repetitive and physically demanding, it's vital to keep production running smoothly. Located in Ashhurst. Key Responsibilities: * Assist tradesmen with tasks such as cutting, drilling, lifting, punching holes, and cleaning parts. * Clean and prepare work areas to eliminate possible hazards. * Sort, file, and account for metal parts in the dispatch area. * Load, unload, and move materials, machinery, and tools to the right locations. * Follow all company health & safety policies and procedures. * Carry out other duties as required. We're looking for an experienced and driven Utilities Delivery Manager to join our Infrastructure team. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the delivery of Infrastructure projects across the Manawatū District — including water, wastewater, stormwater treatment, reticulation renewals, roading and capital works. About the role As the Utilities Delivery Manager, you'll oversee the planning, procurement, and construction of a range of infrastructure projects that are vital to our communities. You'll lead a skilled engineering team and ensure high-quality outcomes across our Infrastructure programmes — delivering reliable, sustainable, and cost-effective infrastructure that supports the district's growth and wellbeing. You'll also provide technical leadership and mentorship, manage contractors and stakeholders, and ensure best practice in project management, health and safety, and customer service. What you'll bring * Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil or related discipline) and/or CPEng qualification. * At least 5 years' post-qualification experience in utilities or civil infrastructure project management and delivery. * Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and budgets simultaneously. * Sound understanding of NZS 3910, contract procurement, and supervision. * Demonstrated leadership experience — coaching, mentoring, and supporting others to deliver excellence. * Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. * A current full driver's licence.
