Opportunity to be part of a small, knit team We are seeking a motivated person to fill the role of Plant Operator in our Processing plant at Palmer Industrial Minerals at Te Pahu. The operator role includes running the plant, and bagging operation, an active involvement in process improvement, attending to running repairs, loader operation and keeping the area clean and tidy. While full training will be provided to the right applicant, experience in fixed or mobile plant operation and maintenance (specifically systems with conveyors and crushers), process engineering, and machine operation will provide a distinct advantage. Most importantly, the applicant well be physically fit, be willing to get stuck in, and be a team player. We are a small knit team, so a sense of humour and the ability to get on with coworkers and customers is vital. The role is Casual day shift however the occasional block of 12hr shifts may be required from time to time. A competitive hourly rate will be offered relevant to experience. Immediate start available.
