Coolstore Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to lead our Opotiki Coolstore Team to ensure that best practice is achieved safely, in all aspects of our operations. You will be responsible for managing conventional cool storage for all classes of fruit and to ensure orders are prepared in time with correct documentation for loadout, so you will need to have sound knowledge and understanding of temperature cool chain and logistics. Reporting to the Site Manager, this is a key role on our site management team, so this person will need to be focussed and able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to make sound decisions while working under pressure. You will also need do have experience in leading and coaching people as this role will play a pivotal part of creating an environment where staff feel valued and empowered to continuously improve. You will need to demonstrate: * Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills. * The ability to provide strong leadership skills to create a positive work culture and grow your team. * A proactive & positive approach to problem solving. * A good level of computer literacy (excel and outlook to at least intermediate). * The ability to learn systems quickly in order to help drive improvements. * A strong awareness and understanding of health and safety to actively promote and drive continuous improvement. * Flexibility with days/hours of work, which could include split shifts and working weekends and extended hours during our busy periods. * Prior experience within the kiwifruit industry is desirable but not essential.
