Senior Community Work Supervisor Opotiki

Nga Kawenga | The Role We are all about changing lives and creating pathways through meaningful Community Work projects. As a Senior Community Work Supervisor, you will oversee and manage community workers serving community work sentences on meaningful projects at schools, reserves, community groups, Marae and churches. You will also provide leadership to a small team of Community Work Supervisors. Your key responsibilities will include: * Managing people in our care who have been sentenced to community detention or community work * Managing community work projects * Monitoring sentence compliance * Building work relationships with community agencies * Mentoring and coaching Community Work Supervisors This is a full-time 40 hours per week role working Tuesday to Saturday based in Opotiki. Utu a-tau | Salary The salary ranges from $68,027 to $74,673. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role. Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experience We are seeking a positive role model with a firm-but-fair management style able to motivate and work with a variety of people in a variety of situations. A dynamic people-person, able to provide manaaki to our people on sentence and be the kaitiaki of our community work centre. Your practical handy person skills and ability to communicate with individuals and groups will greatly support your success in this role. You must work with high integrity and demonstrate the Departmental values within your work: Wairua, Whanau, Manaaki, Kaitiaki and Rangatira. We will give you the training and support you need to become part of our team working to make communities safer. You'll also need a Full New Zealand Driver Licence and the legal right to work in Aotearoa without restriction for a minimum of 24 months.
