We're seeking a Estimator or Junior Project Manager work on a variety of Civil projects, including subdivisions, drainage, maintenance and roading. This role sees you reporting to the Commercial Manager, joining an experienced team to manage the full tender process, including preparation, review, and delivery of tenders and quotes, variations, and risk prediction. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Estimator to join our delivery team in Palmerston North, supporting the electricity distribution sector. In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping and pricing the electrical network infrastructure that powers our communities. You'll be responsible for producing safe, efficient, and compliant designs for both overhead and underground distribution networks, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting the seamless delivery of projects from concept through to construction. Reporting to the Delivery Manager, you'll work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure all designs are practical, cost-effective, and aligned with customer expectations and regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys blending technical design capability with commercial insight and project delivery experience. Key Responsibilities: -Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders. -Undertake design and estimation for overhead and underground electricity distribution networks using design software such as NEARA, and CAD tools. -Prepare accurate estimates, pricing models, and tender documentation for network and customer-initiated works. -Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements. -Produce detailed CAD construction and as-built drawings, capturing GPS data as needed. -Support the Delivery Manager and Project Managers in planning, scheduling, and handover of projects. -Identify and implement opportunities for process and design improvement. -Uphold high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance across all aspects of work. About You: You're a technically capable and commercially aware professional who takes pride in producing quality designs and accurate cost estimates.
