Project Manager – Architectural & Commercial (Windows & Façades) Location: Auckland We're not just a supplier; we are a key partner in creating New Zealand's most ambitious architectural projects. We are looking for a commercially-minded and highly organized Project Manager to join our high-performing team, taking full ownership of projects for our top-tier construction and architectural clients. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a pivotal role where your ability to manage deadlines, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive projects to profitable completion will have a direct impact on our success. The Opportunity: You will be the central point of command for a portfolio of architectural projects. Your mission is to ensure every project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a standard that exceeds our clients' expectations. This requires a unique blend of on-site practicality, commercial acumen, and exceptional relationship management. Your Key Responsibilities will Include: • End-to-End Project Delivery: From leading successful tenders and conducting site measures to managing installation and final handover. • Commercial Management: Maximising project profitability through meticulous cost control, strategic procurement, and diligent management of variations. • Stakeholder Engagement: Acting as the primary contact for clients, architects, and contractors, building relationships that foster repeat business. • Internal Collaboration: Working seamlessly with our estimating, factory, and installation teams to ensure smooth and accurate project flow. What You Will Bring to the Role: • A minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience within the commercial construction sector is essential. • Exceptional skills in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications. • A proven track record of managing project budgets, timelines, and client relationships successfully. • An action-oriented personality; you are a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment. • A collaborative leadership style combined with a sharp focus on achieving deadlines and results. • Experience with project management platforms like Aconex or Procore is highly desirable. Experience in the window/façade industry is a bonus but not essential. Who you need to be. • You will be very comfortable with deadlines and results. Your planning style will be thorough and considered. • You will be able to prove that you can work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on results. As part of your position, some of the expectations might include: Developing and controlling the purchasing plan and procurement forecasts. Purchasing and controlling logistics of materials and equipment required. Controlling timekeeping of jobs and controlling job numbers. Lead by example, fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement Compiling job packs for the work crews to meet all company, client and statutory requirements, and monitoring completed job packs. Monitoring task/work productivity and project construction program. Hold self and others accountable for meeting deadlines, quality standards, and compliance requirements Controlling and managing job variations with supervisors and main contractors. Preparing documentation for Project Manager’s reporting on month end job status and financials. Coordinate cross-functional efforts, aligning team activities with broader organisational objectives Qualifications and Skills Experience in the Gas industry is preferred Knowledge about gas installation and maintenance is preferred. Experience in project coordination / planning is preferred.
