Fiordland Community House (FCH) is seeking an experienced, steady-handed Interim Manager to guide the organisation through a critical period of transition. This is a unique opportunity to support a dedicated team, strengthen organisational foundations and help shape the future of this essential community service.
About the Role
This fixed-term leadership position will provide stability, strengthen systems and prepare the organisation for long term success under a future permanent Manager. You will work closely with the Board of Trustees, providing strategic oversight while supporting staff in the day to day delivery of services.
Key requirements of the role include:
* Strengthening governance, clinical, and operational systems
* Improving health and safety systems
* Building an evidence base to guide the strategic direction for FCH’s next phase
* Maintaining service delivery according to funder requirements
* Managing and supporting the team.
This role requires a confident leader who can balance operational support with strategic development, while maintaining a calm, professional presence.
Who We’re Looking For
You will thrive in this role if you are:
* An experienced leader with strong governance and operational capability within the health or social service sector
* Skilled in managing risk, safeguarding and complex client environments
* Confident working with Boards and external agencies
* Calm, organised, and able to support staff through change
