About Us Nor West Contracting Ltd is a well-established civil contracting company specialising in earthworks, drainage, and civil projects. We’re looking for skilled Excavator Operators to join our growing team and work on a variety of projects across Canterbury. About the Role We’re seeking experienced operators who can deliver high-quality work and take pride in what they do. You’ll be operating 20-ton excavators with GPS technology on sub divisions and site works projects. Key Responsibilities: • Operate excavators safely and efficiently on civil works projects. • Maintain accuracy and quality using GPS systems. • Take pride in your plant and perform regular pre-start checks to ensure equipment is in top condition. • Ability to lead and coordinate a small team on-site to achieve project goals • Comply with all Health & Safety requirements. • Work collaboratively with site teams to achieve project goals. About You • Minimum 3 years’ industry experience operating 20 ton excavators. • Relevant licences – Full NZ licence including WTR endorsement. • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work. • Motivated, proactive, and reliable with a strong work ethic. • Excellent communication skills.
