We’re looking for a Branch Manager to lead a high-performing team of 30 and drive the success of New Zealand Couriers' Rotorua branch. This role is perfect for someone who is people-focused, commercially sharp, and committed to being a role model who leads with empathy, accountability, and authenticity. What You’ll Be Doing: * Provide strong leadership to staff and contractors, building a high performing, collaborative culture. * Drive customer retention and business growth by developing and delivering strategic branch plans that align with company goals and exceed financial targets. * Take full ownership of the branch portfolio, and daily operations, driving performance, achieving commercial goals and delivering exceptional service and customer outcomes. * Manage and uphold all policies, procedures, H&S standards, KPIs, and national operational requirements with accuracy and consistency. * Develop, coach, and monitor staff performance, building capability and supporting long-term team success. * Strengthen relationships with contractors and drive accountability to ensure quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. * Identify opportunities to innovate, streamline processes, and enhance service delivery to support sustainable growth. * Manage branch budgets, profit and loss and financial performance, ensuring target are met and resources are optimised. What We’re Looking For: * A confident people leader with a track record of leading successful teams. * Experience in logistics, freight, distribution or a similar operational environment is a strong bonus. * A role model who embodies integrity, respect, teamwork, initiative, and excellence. * A relationship builder, empathetic and supportive, with the ability to create a safe environment for the team to grow and succeed. * A forward thinker who is innovative, always looking for ways to enhance service, streamline processes and improve customer experiences. This is a full time permanent position Monday to Friday usually 8am-5pm however there is a requirement to be available at 6am to meet with the night shift team on occasion.
