A dip into Philosophy: "What is Truth?

Our Meetup looks at the great questions of life in ways that ordinary people can grasp. "What is truth?' is a question that people have asked for millennia. Pilate asked Jesus "what is truth?" but didn't hang around long enough to get an answer. Galilleo said 'all truths are easy to understand once they are discovered. The point is to discover them." So what is true - what do YOU believe is "Truth?" We want to hear! How do you know what you believe is "true" is actually so? It is time for a good debate - come along and lets hear "your truth" Mind you, truth doesn't get much of a look in today and we wonder why bother. But as George Orwell, noted "in a time of deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act." Maybe we will go home as revolutionaries.
