* Based at our Southdown Container Terminal Site in Auckland
* Monday to Friday, day shift hours

This is a newly created role where you’ll take ownership of in-house curtain and container repairs, helping us lift standards and build capability in this specialist area. Your expertise will shape how we deliver this work going forward.
Your responsibilities include:
* Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing rail curtains and containers
* Assessing damage and completing quality repairs to agreed standards
* Working outdoors in a rail yard environment
* Partnering with operational teams to return containers to service safely and efficiently
* Balance hands-on repair work with administrative tasks - you will use computer systems to complete documentation, record jobs and track repairs
* Follow safe work practices, identify risks, and contribute to a safe work environment for yourself and others
Ngā pukenga e rapu nei mātou | What you will bring
* A min of 2 years’ curtain maintenance experience – rail or truck
* Strong knowledge of container repairs, ideally in a rail environment
* Ability to work outdoors and carry out physical tasks safely
* A sharp eye for detail and high-quality workmanship
* Confidence using computer systems for tracking and administration
* Clear and respectful communication skills
* A strong safety focus and sound judgement
* Initiative, reliability and can work independently
* Pride in your work and drive to help build a new in-house capability
