**About the role:**
As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls, ensuring all Alexander Group staff is paid accurately, in compliance with NZ Employment Legislation and Holidays Act. This is a fast-paced role that would suit a pro-active, detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer. This role will be based at our Head Office in Ellerslie.
- Accurate processing of weekly and fortnightly payroll.
- Focal point of contact for Internal Functional Managers and Payroll provider to resolve any discrepancies.
- Auditing driver hours against timesheets for any non-compliance.
- Processing payroll journals in Finance ERP.
- Reporting and Analysis on payroll hours and leave balance.
- Effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the wider finance team if required
- Any adhoc tasks as reasonably required by the Manager.
**About you:**
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Payroll Officer preferably in complex environments.
- Exposure to payroll processes in Transport sector is preferred but not essential.
- Attention to detail with ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel including formulas and data validation.
- Analysis & Reporting skills
- Effective & Confident communicator
