Welcome to Chic Antique. We believe that all beautiful handmade and heirloom pieces need to be preserved and loved. Our pieces are lovingly restored and all come in a luxury velvet box. A rare and exciting find this 9ct rose gold sovereign case has a kahurangi pounamu panel. It is full hallmarked for Birmingham 1909. Rose gold was very popular during the Edwardian period and the use of high quality pounamu was widespread especially for brooches and pendants. This is a well loved treasure with dents on the back and one on the front. The mechanism still works but this would be best to become part of a collection or worn with care as a pendant. I tried with two jewellers to have it repaired but it was not possible. It is a still a beautiful piece looking for a new home. It was sourced from an estate auction and is guaranteed authentic and it's provenance guaranteed. At the time I am listing this the spot price on the gold content is $1126 which does not take into consideration the rarity, history and construction of this fabulous piece. Weight: 13.7 gms. Approx. Diameter: 31 mm 46.5 including swivel Buying vintage is the most sustainable option, kind to the environment and your bank balance. Will be sent by fully insured signed courier anywhere in New Zealand for free. Bid with confidence I have 100% positive feedback and guarantee all my items are genuine and authentic.
