We're seeking an experienced **Cable Jointer** to join our Energy & Utilities team based in **Wiri, Auckland**. In this permanent, full-time role, you'll deliver high-quality LV and HV jointing services across electricity distribution networks, supporting critical infrastructure that keeps Auckland powered. You'll be trusted to carry out complex jointing, installation and repair work to a high standard, working within established safety systems and alongside skilled crews who know the job and do it right. This is a stable, well-supported role offering consistent work, proper systems, and the backing of a Tier 1 contractor. **Mōu Koe | About you** You're a qualified Cable Jointer who takes pride in your workmanship and works safely, efficiently and independently. You'll bring: * **EWRB Cable Jointer registration** with a current practising licence * **NZQF Level 4 National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Cable Jointer - HV)** or equivalent * Solid experience jointing **LV and HV cables** on distribution networks * Strong knowledge of **SMEI**, safe work practices and permit systems * Confidence planning and delivering work to a high standard without rework * Good communication skills and a professional approach on site * A **Class 1 manual driver's licence** (Class 2 an advantage) * Eligibility to complete pre-employment medical and MOJ checks **Ko wai mātou | Our Organisation** Downer's Energy & Utilities business unit is an integrated trans-Tasman team, providing services and solutions that connect communities to essential networks and infrastructure.
