Summary: Join a team performing deckhand and engineering duties aboard dredging vessels, involving shipboard operations, maintenance, and emergency procedures. Highlights: 1. Perform essential deckhand and engineering duties on dredging vessels. 2. Engage in shipboard operations including watch keeping, berthing, and anchoring. 3. Participate in maintenance, provisioning, and emergency drills. Dredging Barge Engineer You will be part of a team tasked to perform deckhand duties onboard our 46m Dredging Vessels while at sea and in port. YOU MUST HAVE Maritime Experience with a MEC5 & SRL (OR you can be currently working towards completing an SRL/ILM). If you do not have have this, please do not apply as this is a minimum requirement. To be successful in this full-time role you will: • Undertake Voyages exceeding 24 hours in duration (regular 8 hours shifts on board) • Perform all shipboard duties while at sea and in port including: watch keeping, berthing, casting off, anchoring and bunkering • Undertake Engineering duties, provisioning and sharing meal preparation • Carry out emergency drills and procedures Tasks include but are not limited to: • Assisting on Tugs and Workboats • Operating small boats • Cleaning, painting and maintenance of vessels and equipment. Ideally you will have: • Full driver’s License Due to our Health and Safety protocols, applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
