Participate actively in the day-to-day design work, translating concepts into full construction sets of documents, whilst managing and mentoring a team of modellers, contract designers and graduates - Act as a client-facing representative, building lasting relationships with clients to develop and evolve design concepts and maintaining steady and concise communication channels throughout - Be heavily involved in the construction phase and commissioning of projects, ensuring both the delivered works meet client expectations, and your team’s output aligns with company’s reputation for delivery - Collaborate at the highest level with Project Managers, Design Teams, Main Contractors and key stakeholders Skills and experience - Proven experience in leading design processes, particularly on critical and high-profile projects - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and keep them engaged throughout projects - A hands-on and adaptable approach to design with a willingness to be deeply involved in all stages of a project, and demonstrated capability to manage and lead a team of designers - Ability to manage projects from concept through to delivery, including involvement in construction and commissioning - A high degree of trustworthiness, as the successful candidate will represent the company's brand and commitment to delivery on large-scale projects About the company - Well-established and respected D+B subcontractor with a reputation for delivering large-scale and technically complex mechanical projects in critical sectors - Management team who foster a hands-on environment where the entire team, including directors, are crucial to fostering client satisfaction, securing future business and overall company success How to Apply To discuss the above role in more detail or to enquire about other interesting job opportunities, please contact Tam Linton on 021 223 2037, alternatively, please e-mail a copy of your CV and covering letter to tam@franklinsmithgroup.co.nz
