You'll play a critical part in delivering accurate, high-quality financial services - from month-end reporting and budgeting to project performance analysis and process improvement initiatives. **Key Responsibilities** * Deliver strategic commercial advice and financial analysis to support operational decisions * Lead project and general accounting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and WIP management * Ensure robust month-end processes, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting * Project accounting: project creation. management, valuation, closing * Oversee audit, compliance, tax, and treasury functions * Drive continuous improvement and innovation across finance systems and processes * Support and develop a high-performance finance team through effective leadership and coaching This is a permanent, full time role that can be based out of Auckland OR Wellington. **Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills** * 7+ years of experience in a senior finance role * Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting or related field * CA/CPA qualified * Experience in project accounting(advantageous) * Proven leadership skills with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset * Strong technical accounting, budgeting, and project finance skills * Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities * Ability to manage complexity and drive performance in a fast-paced environment **Ko wai mātou | Our Organisation** Want to know more about what it is like to work at Downer?
