




Our Glenfield Mitre 10 MEGA store is on the hunt for a high-performing Drive-Thru Manager—someone who is motivated, solutions-focused, and confident leading people in a fast-paced operational environment. Why this role matters The Drive-Thru is a critical part of our Trade and Retail operation. You will be the key person responsible for ensuring our customers receive fast, accurate, and safe service every day—and you will lead the team that makes it happen. You will report to the Store Operations Manager and work closely with the Drive-Thru Supervisor, Logistics Despatch Officer, and Trade Operations Manager. This is a full-time (45-hours per week), 5-day roster including weekend work. What you will be responsible for You will take full ownership of: Leadership & Team Performance * Motivating, developing, and coaching a high-performing team across Drive-Thru, Warehouse, and Despatch * Leading a strong safety culture and ensuring all policies and procedures are actively followed * Driving accountability, communication, and training to lift capability Operational Excellence * Managing daily operations across multiple departments to ensure seamless workflow * Ensuring accurate and efficient stock control, rotation, replenishment, and inventory integrity * Maintaining high yard and warehouse standards, including layout optimisation, storage efficiency, cleanliness, and safety * Ensuring all equipment, machinery, and vehicles are compliant and well maintained Customer, Trade & Commercial Service * Supporting DIY, Trade, and Commercial customers with expert knowledge and problem solving * Ensuring despatch accuracy and on-time delivery performance * Working closely with Trade Operations to ensure customers receive exceptional service and fast turnaround times Commercial Performance * Driving GP$ improvements through smarter selling, margin awareness, and product knowledge * Identifying process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce cost, or improve customer experience * Using data, KPIs, and reporting to guide decision making What you will bring to the role We are looking for someone who can clearly demonstrate: * Proven leadership experience—managing, coaching, and motivating operational teams * A hands-on, lead-from-the-front approach * Strong communication skills with the ability to set expectations and address issues directly * Experience in warehouse, logistics, or trade/merchant operations (building industry experience is a strong advantage) * A high standard of retail/service presentation and merchandising skills * The ability to manage multiple operational areas with confidence * Strong commercial understanding and customer rapport, especially with Trade customers * A natural problem solver who works well under pressure and stays calm in busy periods About Us Grove Mitre 10 is a recognised and respected member of the Mitre 10 group, operating stores in Glenfield and Onehunga, and supplying Trade and Commercial customers across Auckland.
