We’re expanding our team in Auckland and seeking experienced Structural Steel Erectors to join us in delivering top-tier fabrication and installation services. Key Responsibilities: • Assemble, erect, and install structural steel components on-site, including beams, columns, trusses, and frameworks. • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate placement and alignment. • Operate cranes, rigging equipment, and welding tools to secure steel structures safely and efficiently. • Conduct site inspections, measurements, and adjustments to maintain structural integrity. • Collaborate with site managers, fabricators, and other trades to meet project deadlines. • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including working at heights and using personal protective equipment (PPE). • Perform quality checks and report any issues or discrepancies promptly. Requirements: • Proven experience as a Structural Steel Erector or in a similar role (minimum 2-3 years preferred). • Relevant qualifications, such as a New Zealand Certificate in Steel Construction Erection (Level 3 or higher) or equivalent trade certification. • Proficiency in welding (MIG/TIG), rigging, and operating heavy machinery; valid tickets/licenses for cranes or elevated work platforms are advantageous. • Strong understanding of construction standards, including NZS 3404 and AS/NZS 1554. • Physical fitness to handle demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions. • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset. • Full New Zealand driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Eligibility to work in New Zealand (visa sponsorship may be considered for exceptional candidates).
