N J & D M Repairs Ltd is a growing truck repair workshop located in Timaru, with customers based the length of the South Island. We provide a full workshop service for a variety of vehicles from light commercial, to trucks and trailers. We are MAN service agents, and have a focus on Volvo, MACK and Nissan/UD. Pre COF checks, servicing and general maintenance are what we offer our customers, as well as engine, diff and gearbox rebuilds. A Call out service is available to our customers. No two days are the same. We require a Diesel Mechanic with relevant Trade Qualifications, and a New Zealand Class 5 Motor Vehicle Licence. The successful applicant needs to be able to • Work independently within a reasonable timeframe, but also be able to work as a team member and communicate effectively with co-workers • Have a good general knowledge of a variety of vehicles on the road and be willing to learn more. • Use initiative and be able to think outside the square to keep vehicles working in a safe and roadworthy condition • Be flexible with work hours and be able to share “On Call” • Have a good general standard of physical fitness. • Have a customer orientated focus • Display a high level of integrity and professionalism • The ability to diagnose electronic faults would be a distinct advantage • Applicants need to have a NZ residency or valid NZ work visa We will provide: • Work to employ you a minimum of 40 hours per week • A competitive wage according to qualifications and experience • A work vehicle • A work phone
