No matter your experience level this job could be an excellent fit for you. As a general hand you will receive training to work on and alongside ships handling the loading and unloading at your local port. Additionally for the right candidate there will be opportunities to train on operating machinery over time. **Specific Responsibilities** No previous port experience is required as we provide comprehensive training. This role includes (but is not limited to) slinging logs lashing/securing project cargo and other related tasks involving manual handling marking logs and operating small wharf forklifts. Based in South Canterbury, our client's facility uses traditional craftsmanship and modern technology to produce robust, high-quality products that are exported globally. The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Clay Machine Operator to join the production team. This hands-on role involves operating machinery and equipment involved in the production of ceramic insulators. You will be responsible for a range of tasks throughout the production process to ensure quality and consistency in all products. This is a hands-on role responsible for operating machinery and performing manual tasks related to hide and skin processing. You will work as part of a tight-knit team in a fast-paced, industrial environment. Forklift Operator

**The role:** You will be responsible for operating and maintaining forklifts to ensure the safe and efficient movement of materials to sustain efficient production. You will also be responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining various types of machinery to ensure the smooth and efficient production of our client's internationally recognised products. Our client operates 24/7, so the role requires a rotating shift pattern, working 2 x 7am - 7pm, then 2 x 7pm - 7am, then having 4 consecutive days off. You will be working as a key member of a small team across the area, so attendance at work is critical to ensure the operation is appropriately resourced. There is some manual handling required on occasion, and you are on your feet for several hours, so a reasonable level of fitness and strength and agility is required.
