The role: * Undertake machine operation and labouring within the Civil / Water department in line with Civtec process and requirements. *Undertake all work required to complete civil / water projects. * Acting as a first line response, provide specific technical advice to team members on site to ensure tasks are completed as per the design and meets industry and Civtec standards. * Mentor and educate teams on site to improve efficiencies and quality of delivery. Use appropriate Civtec technology (ie. Apps). * Ensure all prestart documentation, permits, quality assurance, and compliance documentation is completed. Including supporting others to complete their required documentation. * Undertake all work required to complete operation/labouring tasks in a safe manner such as installation of temporary barriers, warning signage, ramps etc. * Escalate issues, as appropriate, to the manager. * Complete administrative tasks to a high standard. * Train and educate current and new staff of practices and processes. * Actively communicate with all stakeholders (team members, management, clients) to provide accurate information in a timely manner. * Seek opportunities to improve and enhance processes internally and with our partners. * Appropriate and timely escalation of issues to internal stakeholders * Other duties as reasonably required in accordance with the conditions of this position. Qualifications and Experience: * Proven experience in all aspects of civil and/or Water works including machine operation and labouring. * Full Class 1 New Zealand Drivers Licence (or higher). * WTR endorsement. * First Aid Certificate preferred. * Traffic Management qualifications.
