As we continue to grow and modernise, we’re looking for an energetic, hands-on Production Manager to lead our factory team and help shape the future of how we build machinery in New Zealand. About the Role You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and planning of our manufacturing operations driving performance, efficiency, and quality across fabrication, paint, and assembly. What You’ll Be Doing * Leading a team of around 40 across multiple production areas. * Building a motivated, collaborative team culture focused on continuous improvement. * Managing and optimising the production plan to meet deadlines and customer expectations. * Driving Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S, standard work, continuous improvement. * Tracking performance and ensuring we hit our Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People (SQDCP) goals. * Bringing fresh thinking, problem-solving, and accountability to every corner of the factory. About You You’re an experienced leader from a manufacturing or engineering background who’s not afraid to roll up your sleeves and make things happen. You love structure but thrive in an environment that’s evolving and improving every day. Ideally, you’ll bring: * Proven production leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. * Strong understanding of scheduling, workflow, and resource planning. * Experience or interest in Lean Manufacturing, you see it as a journey, not a buzzword. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to build a positive, engaged team culture. Why Join Us This isn’t just another management role, it’s a chance to be part of a changing, forward-focused company that still values its family roots. You’ll have the support to make real improvements, lead a great team, and leave your mark on a respected New Zealand brand. How to Apply If you’re ready to lead from the front and be part of a team excited about change, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now and help shape the next chapter of McIntosh Farm Machinery.
