ANZCO Foods Canterbury have an opportunity for a forklift driver to join the team, you will report to our Logistics Production Manager and will be based at our Seafield Road Site in Ashburton. The hourly rate for this position will be between $31 - $33 per hour including allowances.
Key Activities:
* Operating controls to align forklifts and raise and lower forks to stack and unstack items
* Transporting goods to designated areas
* Ensuring frames, packages and other goods are stored in correct areas
* Monitoring equipment operation, inspecting and controlling equipment to identify wear and damage
* Servicing and performing minor repairs and adjustments to forklifts
* Transporting frames, packaging, and any lifting required
* Maintain Health and Safety practices
* Maintain operational standards
* Follow supervisors instructions
* Loading frames/pallets into trucks
General Health & Safety and compliance Responsibilities:
* Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations, standards, and codes of practises, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (NZ). – This is the comply with Legislation
* Work in a safe manner that complies with the policies and procedures within the ANZCO Foods Safety Management – This is the comply with Company safety expectations
* Lead by example and foster a positive approach to change by supporting and motivating colleagues through the transitions.
* Follow the required systems and procedures when performing high-risk tasks.
* Identify, report, and mitigate workplace hazards to prevent accidents and injuries.
* Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and relevant health and safety training.
* Safely operate tools, lifting equipment, and machinery, ensuring they are in proper working condition before use.
Qualifications and Previous Experience
* Forklifts must be operated in accordance with the safety code for forklift operators (Department of Labour Guidelines)
* Full forklift OSH Accredited license.
