The role will involve servicing and repairing weighing equipment used within the FMCG and health sectors. Our client provides support to nationwide clients, including products such as scale equipment, food machinery and label printers. You will be repairing and servicing equipment as well as setting up new equipment and helping customers with technical support. This position will require you to go out to breakdowns, preventive maintenance and general servicing and install jobs. Training and support will be provided, but you must be someone with a technical mind, ideally possessing an applicable electrical qualification, along with strong problem-solving abilities. A positive "go-getter" attitude is a must for this role! A vehicle and cell phone are provided, and there will be a component of on-call work involved with this position. Overtime is also required from time to time as well as travelling away from home when required. This is a challenging and busy role within a supportive environment, where you'll have loads of diversity - no day is ever the same! You will join a small team of professional and friendly technicians and have the opportunity to hone and grow your skills. Skills Required: * Strong effective communication skills. * Attention to detail. * Confident and professional in dealing with customers. * Neat and presentable. * Strong technical minded skill set is a must. * Ability to problem solve. * Fit and comfortable with some heavy lifting. * Eagerness and ability to work thigs out together with strong research skills such as reading and following service manuals. * Ability to fault-find and diagnose. * Mechanical or electrical aptitude. The following skills will be an advantage but not critical: * Electronic appliance/food machinery experience. * EAS/EST certified * Forklift licence. * PC background/interest will be a big advantage as many aspects of the business revolves around PC orientated software and hardware.
