We are looking for an experienced Drain Unblocking Technician to join our Wellington team as we continue expanding throughout the lower North Island. **About the Role** This is a hands-on role for someone who can confidently work independently, problem solve on site, and represent the company professionally. You’ll be involved in reactive drainage work, drain diagnostics, CCTV inspections, hydro jetting, and emergency callouts across Wellington. We need someone reliable, efficient, and motivated who takes pride in clean workmanship and delivering a high standard of service. **What You’ll Be Doing** - Responding to emergency and same-day drain unblocking callouts - Operating hydro jetting and drain cleaning equipment - Conducting CCTV drain inspections and diagnostics - Identifying faults, blockages, and drainage failures - Completing reactive maintenance and urgent drainage repairs - Providing accurate job notes, reports, and photos - Working alongside plumbing and civil crews when required - Maintaining company vehicle, tools, and equipment - Providing professional communication with clients and tenants - Managing jobs efficiently while maintaining high service standards **What We’re Looking For** - Experience in drain unblocking and drainage maintenance - CCTV inspection experience preferred - Current NZ driver licence - Class 2 licence an advantage - WTR endorsements an advantage - Ability to work independently and manage jobs efficiently - Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills - Good communication and customer service - Reliable, punctual, and well presented - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment **What We Offer** - Competitive pay rates based on experience - Company vehicle - Phone and uniform - Ongoing work across Wellington and surrounding areas - Opportunity to grow within a rapidly expanding company - Supportive team environment - Long-term career progression within Taylor Plumbing and Taylor Contractors **About Taylor Plumbing** Taylor Plumbing is focused on building one of New Zealand’s leading integrated infrastructure service companies.
