Mō te tūranga | About the Role: The Kaitohutohu – Advisor is a key role in providing reporting on the organisational and performance of Te Matatini, particularly supporting the annual performance reporting cycle to ensure our funding and organisation is well managed to deliver our strategy. The role of Kaitohutohu – Advisor is to: * Prepare regular organisational performance reports including Outcome Agreements between Te Matatini and Manatū Taonga – Ministry for Culture and Heritage (MCH), Quarterly performance reports to MCH, Reports on performance measures for supplementary estimates, Te Matatini Annual Plans * Contribute to Te Matatini Annual Reports * Provide advice to the Director – Strategy & Organisational Performance and Chief Executive to support meetings with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies and ministers * Provide high quality analysis and advice that underpins sound business decisions * Support the Director – Strategy & Organisational Performance by providing regular updates on key issues and themes * Plan, organise and manage activities and outputs * Contribute to Te Matatini projects and policies of longer-term impacts when required. * Engage and communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders to develop and test research, analysis, and advice Mōu | About You: To be successful in this role Kaitohutohu – Advisor will have: * An understanding and familiarity of Te Ao Māori along with a respect for Māori cultural values and customs * Comfort in operating in a tikanga/kaupapa Māori environment * Demonstrated experience and success in developing performance reporting and effective report writing capabilities * Strong analytical skills and ability to think clearly and write accurately and succinctly under pressure * Excellent oral, written communication and organisational skills * Experience developing advice on a range of issues * Experience working with internal and external stakeholders * Ability to produce precise work, with care for accurate detail and tight deadlines * Understanding and knowledge of the machinery of government and public sector processes * A relevant tertiary or industry qualification * Responsiveness and commitment to maintaining an excellent standard of service * Strong interpersonal, collaboration, influencing and multi-tasking skills * Comfort in working under pressure and results focused * Excellent presentation skills and personal credibility * Strong relationship building skills * Intermediate - Advanced Microsoft skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams Me tono mai ināianei | Apply Now!
