Summary: Seeking an experienced Civil Drainlayer with a strong background in large diameter concrete pipe installation and precast manhole construction for heavy civil/infrastructure work. Consistent hours (long weeks available) Drainlayer - Civil/Infrastructure - Upper Hutt We’re looking for an experienced Drainlayer with a strong background in large diameter concrete pipe installation and precast manhole construction. This is heavy civil/infrastructure work, not residential plumbing. What You’ll Be Doing: - Installing reinforced concrete pipes (RCP) and large diameter stormwater/wastewater lines (225mm–1200mm+) - Preparing and trimming pipe bedding to correct grade - Setting and checking line & level using pipe lasers - Installing rubber ring joints and ensuring correct alignment - Constructing and installing precast concrete manholes - Benching and channeling manholes to spec - Installing drop connections and laterals - Adjusting lids and frames to final surface levels - Reading and working from engineering drawings and council standards - Coordinating with Excavator Operators and crane lifts - Maintaining safe trenching practices (shoring, battering, shields) What We’re Looking For: - Proven civil Drainage experience - Confident reading plans and setting out work - Strong understanding levels and falls - Comfortable working in deep excavations - Current Site Safe (Civil preferred) - WTR endorsements a bonus What’s On Offer: - Top rates + 8% Annual Leave, Kiwisaver & Weekly Pay - Long-term work on major Civil & Infrastructure projects - Consistent hours (long weeks available) - Strong team culture and site support This role is suited to candidates with subdivision or infrastructure experience.
