Passionate about staff development An exciting permanent part-time opportunity exists for a confident and experienced Workforce Development Coordinator to manage and co-ordinate the on-going, long-term advancement of clinical and non-clinical skills for our staff in Wellington region. In order to ensure the excellent delivery of healthcare services you will be required to develop, lead, facilitate and evaluate education and training programmes for the staff of St John of God Karori and our Community Home in Upper Hutt. About the Role Reporting to a supportive Quality Manager and working alongside and in consultation with the Clinical Management Team, key responsibilities of the role include: • Oversight of the induction and orientation programme for all staff in the region • Ensuring accurate records are held of all internal and external training • Facilitation of ongoing training programmes • As required, consultation and the provision of training for the management team • Liaising with the Workforce Development Team in our Christchurch service • Consultation on, and assisting with the implementation of, our newly launched internal Learning Management System. This is an on-site role based at St John of God Karori, 16 hours per week, with the flexibility to choose your own work pattern. About You Our ideal candidate is passionate about staff development and has previous experience coordinating workplace training programmes. Other qualities we are seeking include: A nursing qualification and current NZ registration Excellent written and verbal communication skills Technologically savvy and innovative Proactive, and comfortable working autonomously Be a Careerforce Workplace Assessor (or are willing to train to become one) Strong organisational skills Culturally competent and understanding of Enabling Good Lives (EGL) principles An additional tertiary qualification in health, social sciences, adult education or community is preferable but not required. Experience in delivering presentations to a variety of audiences especially healthcare professionals. Proven experience creating and delivering accredited and non-accredited professional development and training. Success with the creation and delivery of training modules assessment, assessment and performance monitoring. Working knowledge of relevant legislation.
