About the Role
As part of our Distribution Wellington team, you will:
Provide first-response IT support to local users
Log, track, and escalate IT issues as required
Manage and report on user requests and system enhancements
Coordinate system updates, development, and implementation
Analyse performance data and business information to support decision-making
Identify and promote opportunities for IT process improvement
Educate and support staff as the local “super-user” while maintaining IT documentation
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements in all IT practices
Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for someone with:
A relevant tertiary qualification in IT, business, or equivalent experience

This is a critical leadership role being a key customer and product advocate in a Platforms Engineering team. By taking strong ownership of the outcome, you'll ensure teams are working on the right thing, leading key trade-off decisions based on value and impact and are accountable for delivering the outcomes and shifting the metrics we care about most. To achieve this, you will work closely with teams to prioritise and refine the roadmap and backlog, identify and manage dependencies and maintain the robust health, resilience and stability of our systems.
As a Technical Product Owner in our Platforms space, you work closely with our Principal Software Engineers and other Product Owners to formulate the long-term strategy. You will align our product strategy with our platform strategy and translate it into initiatives to be delivered by your team in the short to medium term.
From a strategic perspective, you will play a key role in communicating with stakeholders, including other product and engineering leaders, to diagnose problems and identify opportunities for improvement. You enable our team to gain business agility by improving our underlying platforms.
From a tactical perspective, you collaborate with your lead engineers and team to articulate maintenance and improvement initiatives, ensuring our platforms are maintained and operating within our service level objectives. You and your team are well-positioned to demonstrate a customer-centric mindset and deliver both strategic initiatives and continuous improvements.
**Here is what you can expect from this role:**
* Facilitate and bring a product mindset to the definition of the platform goal and strategy including guiding principles, outcomes and opportunities

Focusing on Microsoft 365 enablement and productivity outcomes for our customers including workloads spanning data, files, communications and collaboration, security and identity and access management
This role is available across our New Zealand Offices: Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch, Hamilton and Tauranga.
What you’ll do
As the Microsoft 365 Specialist you will typically have exposure across a wide variety of technology areas including (but not limited to):
Microsoft identity management (AzureAD, AD Connect, ADFS and Microsoft Identity Manager)
Modern business collaboration tools in the Office 365 suite – Teams, Planner, Groups, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Yammer etc.
Collaboration and video conferencing solutions like Teams, and ancillary systems like Poly, Cisco and Zoom
Working knowledge of competitor solutions in the above IT platforms
Email security and archive technologies (Office 365 ATP/EOP, Mimecast, Avepoint).
What You’ll Bring
You will have previous experience in an ICT Professional Services organisation and have extensive hands-on experience as a Microsoft 365 Engineer. You will be able to demonstrate;
Extensive knowledge of core collaboration services in Office 365 including:
Exchange Online Mailbox Management
Exchange Online Protection
Microsoft Teams
SharePoint Online
OneDrive for Business
Extensive knowledge of core AzureAD identity management and related objects including:
Users
Traditional Groups (Security, Distribution)
Office 365 Groups
Devices
Guest Users (External Users)
Working knowledge of AzureAD identity and authentication technologies including:
Azure AD Connect
Password Hash Sync
Pass-thru Authentication
Seamless SSO
