Welder / Fabricator – Hands-On, Varied Role
Make an impact every day
We’re looking for a practical, qualified Welder/Fabricator who thrives in a busy, hands-on role. This position is all about keeping vital equipment and infrastructure in top condition — the kind of work that makes a real difference to daily operations.
About the role
This is a physically active and varied role where no two days look the same. You’ll be:
- Working with mild steel, galvanised steel, and occasionally stainless/aluminium
- Carrying out MIG and Stick welding as your main methods
- Repairing, fabricating, and maintaining everything from yard infrastructure to heavy machinery
- Problem-solving on the go and helping keep our site safe, efficient, and running smoothly
Day-to-day, you will:
- Weld and fabricate steel and aluminium parts and structures
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on a wide range of machinery
- Keep the workshop and tools organised and ready for use
- Support site operations with set-ups and maintenance tasks
- Promote health and safety standards on site
- Share your knowledge with others when needed
What we’re looking for:
- Solid background in welding/fabrication (ideally 3+ years)
- A relevant qualification or welding ticket (preferred)
- Confident with MIG and Stick welding
- Mechanically minded, practical, and physically fit
- A full NZ driver’s licence
- A positive team player who takes pride in their work
What’s in it for you:
- Variety: Every day brings different challenges and jobs
- Stability: Join a well-established company with a strong future
- Supportive culture: A down-to-earth team that looks out for each other
- Career growth and great mentorship: Opportunities to upskill and progress over time
If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves, getting stuck in, and knowing your work is valued, we’d love to hear from you.
