Installing services and working around existing underground utilities
Leading small crews and coordinating daily activities on site
Reading plans and working to levels and set-out information
Maintaining high standards of productivity, quality, and safety
Working alongside foremen, engineers, and project managers to deliver successful projects
What we're looking for
Proven experience operating civil construction plant
Experience in subdivision, siteworks, earthworks, or land development projects
Strong understanding of levels, grades, and construction tolerances
Ability to read and interpret plans
WTR endorsements and current NZ Driver Licence
Class 2, 4, or 5 licence advantageous
Ability to lead by example and get the best out of the people around you
Reliable, self-motivated, and solutions-focused
The type of person who succeeds at Groundworks
Takes ownership and accountability for their work
Thinks ahead and solves problems before they become issues
Understands that productivity and quality go hand in hand
Respects their team, clients, and equipment
Is willing to jump out of the cab and help when required
Wants to continually improve themselves and those around them
What's on offer
Competitive remuneration based on experience and capability
Modern fleet of well-maintained plant and equipment
Variety of work across subdivisions, siteworks, three waters, and civil infrastructure projects
Training and development opportunities
Genuine career progression opportunities
A team that values hard work, accountability, and getting the job done right
If you're looking for just another seat in a machine, we're probably not the right fit. If you're an experienced operator who takes pride in your work, enjoys being part of a strong team, and wants to help deliver quality projects, we'd like to hear from you.
