Join a team valuing care, teamwork, and excellence We are looking for an energetic and creative Activities Coordinator to join our Boulcott village. Ideally you will have experience in events, hospitality or aged care, but more important to us will be your genuine care of people from all walks of life. You will plan and facilitate a programme of activities and exciting events for our residents, providing quality resident support, managing vulnerable residents and communications with families. You will need to be kind, patient and have great communication skills, while a good level of fitness will prove useful for delivering the best exercise programmes, regular outings, sporting and recreational events. This is a casual role on an "as and when required" basis. About you: - Positive “can-do” attitude that results in a harmonious relationship for staff and residents - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to convey an idea and inspire enthusiasm and interest - A genuine interest in working with older people and a positive attitude to ageing - Good written communication skills that target the audience and medium appropriately - Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task - Computer literacy with using Microsoft Outlook (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) - Current first aid certificate - LCQ qualification (or prepared to undertake training) - A current driver license At Summerset, we believe diversity strengthens our team and enriches the care we provide.
