Opportunity to work with a respected and supportive team Civil Site Engineer – Porirua Large-Scale Civil Infrastructure Project | Long-Term Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Civil Site Engineer to join a major infrastructure project based in Porirua. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a large civil works programme delivering critical infrastructure improvements within the region. You will be working alongside an experienced project team on a complex and fast-paced site, supporting day-to-day operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification. This role suits someone who enjoys being hands-on in the field, solving problems, and driving projects forward while maintaining strong communication with crews, clients, and management. What You’ll Be Doing - Assisting with the planning and delivery of large civil construction works - Managing site activities and coordinating subcontractors - Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications - Conducting set out and survey checks - Monitoring project progress, quality, and compliance - Supporting health & safety procedures and site documentation - Liaising with project managers, supervisors, and clients - Tracking materials, productivity, and reporting on site performance About You - Previous experience as a Civil Site Engineer within infrastructure or civil construction - Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, roading, utilities, or structures - Ability to read plans and work confidently from technical drawings - Experience with site set out and QA documentation preferred - Excellent communication and organisational skills - Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail - Relevant Civil Engineering qualification - Full NZ Driver Licence What’s On Offer - Ongoing work on a major civil infrastructure project - Competitive pay package based on experience - Opportunity to work with a respected and supportive team - Career progression and long-term project exposure - Immediate or upcoming start available If you are looking for your next challenge and want to be involved in a significant project shaping the future of the region, we want to hear from you.
