The Role: Expert Timber Joinery Installer/builder We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Timber Joiner or builder to join our dynamic crew. This is a crucial, hands-on role where you will be responsible for the precise manufacture and efficient installation of bespoke timber joinery, primarily in high-end residential settings (with some exciting commercial work thrown in). * Your Base: Wellington. * Your Scope: This role involves travel to various project sites across New Zealand, so you'll get to see the country while you work! You'll need a keen eye for detail, be a great problem-solver, and have the capacity to work both independently and as a valuable member of our team. What You'll Be Doing (The Serious Bit) * Accurate measurement, cutting, and assembly of solid timber joinery components. * Precise installation of window sashes, doors, and other bespoke timber items. * Working confidently with various materials to ensure impeccable, high-quality finishes. * Liaising effectively and professionally with clients, site managers, and our internal team to ensure seamless project execution. * Troubleshooting and problem-solving on-site to address any unforeseen challenges (thinking on your feet is key!). * Ensuring all installations meet our exacting quality standards, specifications, and deadlines. * Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment. * Mentoring and guiding apprentices, sharing your industry knowledge and best practices. What You'll Bring (Your Toolkit) * Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Timber Joinery manufacturing and installation. * A strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering premium workmanship. * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet. * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—you'll be representing us on-site! * Trade qualification in Joinery or Cabinetry is highly preferred (show us your certificates!). * A full, clean New Zealand Driver's License is essential (for the travel!). * Ownership of your own high-quality tools is preferred (you know what you like!). * Demonstrated ability to run a job independently and collaborate effectively within a team. * Physical fitness and the ability to handle materials safely. * Experience or a strong willingness to train and mentor junior staff/apprentices.
