Opportunity to hit the ground running with strong document skills We’re looking for a detail-driven Publications Contractor to support the delivery of Budget 2026 publications. This is a hands-on, full-time contract role commencing Wednesday 23 April and running through to Thursday 28 May, suited to someone who loves clean, consistent documents and can work confidently to tight deadlines. Due to the sensitive nature of the content and workload, this role must be performed on-site. You’ll be part of a collaborative team working on large, high-profile documents that must meet strict style and quality standards. What you’ll be doing - Editing and formatting large Word documents stored in a database - Exporting documents from databases into Word - Applying styles, pagination, tables, and layouts using a style guide - Reviewing content for accuracy, consistency, and formatting quality - Incorporating proofreader and contributor changes - Peer-reviewing team members’ work - Converting Word documents to PDF and updating document properties - Tracking work using spreadsheets - Running quality checks on web content What we’re looking for - Advanced Microsoft Word skills - Solid Excel skills (basic spreadsheet use) - Experience using Adobe Acrobat for PDF creation - Exceptional attention to detail and pride in high-quality formatting - Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines - Proactive, flexible, and quick to pick up new processes - Strong teamwork and communication skills This role suits candidates with strong document formatting and Word experience who can hit the ground running.
