**Class 2 and Class 5 Transport Operators - Vehicle Transport** **New Lynn | Full Time | $28-$30 per hour (experience dependent)** Our client is a **well-established NZ-owned transport operation** specialising in the safe movement of vehicles across the region. Your day will include: * Driving Class 2 or Class 5 transporters * **Loading and unloading vehicles** * **Rachet strapping and securing loads** * Completing daily truck checks and logbook requirements * Operating a tablet-based POD/delivery system * Maintaining a tidy, well-kept truck assigned to you * Supporting general yard or workshop duties as needed **Role Requirements** **Class 2 Transport Driver** * Operate a **3-car transporter** for local deliveries * Occasional use of a **5-car transporter** when required * Some day trips (Hamilton/Tauranga) depending on demand * Trailer experience is highly beneficial **Class 5 Transport Driver** * Operate **5-car semi-trailers** * Combination of linehaul and local runs * Must be willing and able to do **overnight trips** (Wellington / Palmerston North) as required **What We're Looking For** We're seeking candidates with strong awareness around safety, people who take care when driving, loading, and securing vehicles - and who can handle the physical demands of the role. **You will bring:** * Current **Class 2 or Class 5 licence** (depending on the role) * **Rachet strapping experience** * Ability to safely drive vehicles up and down transporters/trailers * Strong situational awareness and attention to detail * Confidence completing logbooks and using Android/tablet devices * Physically fit and able to work safely without aggravating previous injuries * Positive communication skills and reliability * Self-motivation, time management, and ability to work independently * Willingness to complete online inductions (e.g., Ports of Auckland) A genuine interest in vehicles or passion for the automotive space is a bonus. **Important Information** * You must have the **legal right to work in NZ** * Pre-employment checks may include drug testing, MOJ, and/or medical * You must be committed to safe work practices at all times
