Our client, Dunlop Builders, is an award-winning architectural luxury home builder based in Wanaka, delivering bespoke, design-led homes of the highest quality. With ongoing growth and recent initiatives undertaken to support that expansion, they have created a new Project Manager role to manage increasing workload and to complement a Quantity Surveyor. The Role As Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of high-end residential builds from pre-construction through to handover. You’ll work closely with the QS, site managers, architects, clients and subcontractors to ensure projects run smoothly, meet programme, and maintain Dunlop’s renowned standard of craftsmanship. You will work closely with the QS to plan realistic build programs and ensure buildability and scheduling is managed. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the delivery of architectural residential projects Oversee project budgets, programmes, and risk management Provide clear communication and coordination between site teams, architects, engineers, and clients Regularly visit sites and provide practical, client-focused solutions Support and guide site managers, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and productivity Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle About You Previous experience as a Project Manager in high-end residential or architectural builds in New Zealand is essential Naturally builds strong external relationships and engages confidently with clients and partners to build opportunities Strong knowledge of NZ building contracts, procurement, and construction methodology Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and commercial awareness Confident communicator with a proven ability to manage clients, consultants and subtrades Relevant construction qualification or equivalent experience Proficient with project management systems and construction software Based in Wanaka or willing to relocate (relocation assistance available) Why Join Work where you play - enjoy Wanaka’s lifestyle and outdoor adventure Join a builder known for architectural excellence and award-winning craftsmanship Deliver unique, design-driven homes you’ll be proud to put your name to Competitive salary package including vehicle and health insurance Candidates must have the right to live and work in NZ.
