Ngaio Downs Contracting and Ngaio Downs Farm is looking for a new staff member to join our team. The farm and the contracting business is based 40 minutes north of Kaikoura, between Clarence and Kekerengu. Ngaio Downs Contracting is a small agricultural contracting business, we service mainly sheep and beef farms from Clarence to Seddon. The majority of our work is direct drilling using a John Deere 8280R with a 6m Taege Drill and cultivation in the spring. We also have a newly built Toyota Landcruiser spray truck, a digger and also do tractor & trailer work. We require mainly a tractor driver to continue servicing our loyal clients. The successful applicant will need to have experience operating and maintaining machinery to a high standard. The tractor covers a wide geographical area covering flat rolling to steep hill. We primarily want someone to drive the tractor but when its not busy, there will be work driving the spray truck or working in the farming business. Ngaio Downs Farm is an 1100ha intensive hill country sheep and beef farm. Work on the farm will be general farm work, digger work, fencing, water and mechanical jobs. We would love someone to join our team and help us move forward. We need someone who is enthusiastic and enjoys what they do, have a positive attitude, self-manage and plan ahead and be prepared to jump into anything & have a go.
