Role Overview As a Carpenter at WCR, you’ll work across all stages of residential and commercial projects—from foundations and framing to detailed finishing work. You’ll bring your skill, pride and craftsmanship to each job, ensuring the high standards we’re known for. Key Responsibilities Complete carpentry work across renovations, alterations, extensions, and new builds. Carry out tasks including set-out, foundations, framing, cladding, linings, joinery installation, and finishing work. Work confidently with a range of materials including timber, metal, and composites. Read and interpret technical drawings and plans to ensure precision. Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades. Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards on-site. Problem-solve on the job to keep projects progressing smoothly. Support and guide apprentices or junior carpenters when required. Requirements Proven experience in carpentry, ideally with renovations or construction background. Strong technical knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and methods. Ability to confidently interpret plans and specifications. High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship. Strong initiative and ability to work independently or within a team. Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour. Valid driver's licence and reliable transport. Own full tool kit. Health & Safety certification is advantageous.
