This Saturday afternoon we will walk the **Bridle Path**, a historic trail overlooking Whakaraupō / Lyttelton Harbour. This will also be my first time walking this track. If you have walked it before, you are warmly welcome to help guide the way. If it is also your first time, perfect. We will explore together with curiosity, presence and a beginner’s mind. The intention of this walk is not distance or achievement. It is an invitation to slow down, breathe and let the land guide our awareness back to stillness. We will walk gently up the path, and once we reach the **Summit and Pioneer Women’s Memorial**, we will pause to share tea and enjoy the view. After tea and a quiet moment of reflection, we will walk back down to the car park the same way. ### Flow of the Afternoon 3:00–3:10 PM Arrive and gather at the Christchurch Gondola car park. 3:10–3:40 PM Begin walking mindfully toward the Summit, noticing breath, body and the changing horizon. Around 3:40 PM Pause at the Summit/Pioneer Women’s Memorial for tea. We will sit together, enjoy the view and read a short Zen passage to open space for stillness. 4:10–4:50 PM Walk back down in quiet awareness, letting each step soften the mind. Expected finish time is around 5:00 PM. ### Details Duration: about 2 hours Distance: approximately 3 km return Difficulty: moderate uphill, gentle pace Meeting point: Christchurch Gondola car park Time: meet at 3:00 PM, return around 5:00 PM ### What to Bring Comfortable walking shoes Warm layers (it can be windy at the top) A small cup or tea tumbler (Optional) a light snack to share ### A Closing Note Come as you are. Move slowly. Let the landscape guide you home to yourself. Looking forward to walking and sharing tea with you.
