Ongoing training and development opportunities AR Plus is seeking a skilled and versatile Plasterer to join our team. While this is a multi-trade role, we are specifically looking for someone with strong plastering and finishing expertise who takes pride in delivering high-quality results. This is a hands-on role working across ceiling restorations, mould remediation, demolition, and restoration following asbestos removal works, with a key focus on GIB fixing, plastering, and finishing work. About the Role You’ll work across a variety of sites and projects, supporting multiple operational teams. A key part of your role will be delivering high-quality interior finishes, alongside assisting with restoration, remediation, and demolition work as required. Key Responsibilities • Plastering & Finishing (Primary Focus): o Skim coating to a Level 5 finish o Cove installation o GIB fixing (GIB® board installation) o Surface preparation and stopping to a high standard • Restoration & Remediation: o Ceiling restoration works including enclosure setup and removal o Mould remediation (HEPA vacuuming, cleaning, substrate removal) • Demolition & Labouring: o Strip-outs and non-structural demolition o Site clean-up and material handling • General: o Follow all safety, quality, and compliance procedures o Maintain clean, organised, and compliant worksites o Complete documentation and participate in toolbox meetings • Opportunity for Asbestos Removal (Class A & B): o Work within controlled environments under strict safety procedures o Assist with enclosures, asbestos removal, and waste handling What We’re Looking For • Proven plastering experience with the ability to deliver Level 5 finishes (essential) • Experience with cove installation and GIB fixing • Background in construction, restoration, demolition, or asbestos removal (preferred) • Physically fit and comfortable working in controlled environments • High attention to detail and pride in workmanship • Reliable, adaptable, and safety-focused • Ability to follow detailed procedures and work as part of a team or independently • Excellent communication skills • Full NZ driver’s licence • EWP, Working at Heights, WTR, First Aid certifications (advantageous) Why Join AR Plus? • Work across a diverse range of technical projects • Strong safety-first and team-focused culture • Ongoing training and development opportunities • Competitive pay based on experience Our Values Own It.
