About Our Role: * Cantabria Lifecare & Village, located in Rotorua * Permanent Full-time (40 hours per week) * AM and PM We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Manager with a passion for working in a general maintenance environment to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. We're seeking someone with a positive, can-do attitude who understands the importance of a clean and tidy environment, is great with people, and takes pride in their work. You'll be both hands-on and a strong team leader, with practical building and maintenance skills, as well as the organisational and leadership abilities to manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and motivate your team. As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the general upkeep of the care home, including preventative maintenance, building repairs, gardening, mowing grassed areas, edging, weed control, and maintaining the building's exterior and grounds. You will also work closely with the Care Home Manager to ensure the highest level of safety for our residents. Your Skills and Experience: * Leadership experience * Experience with general maintenance, painting, plumbing, and minor carpentry is preferred but not essential. * Ability to work as part of a team and also independently. * Ability to build good rapport with others and show empathy. * Good communication, interpersonal, and time management skills. * A genuine love for helping people, with excellent customer service skills, and a friendly and positive attitude. * Experience delivering to a quality standard. * A full clean driver's license.
