About The Job To provide orchard machinery services using Atom Self Propelled Orchard Sprayer/ Additionally responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of machinery. Responsibilities: * Communicate with Orchard Managers and teams on arrival at site. * Complete orchard machinery services using an Atom Self Propelled Orchard Sprayer to ensure that our kiwifruit orchards are sprayed at optimal timing to keep our crops pest free and producing the best quality and size. * Follows all Safe Operating Procedures, other procedures and instructions. * Completes pre-start checks and assists with basic maintenance to prevent disruption to tasks. * Clean machinery daily as part of shut down processes. * Carry out general maintenance duties and equipment checks as required. Skills/Experience * Experience handling agrichemicals and operating sprayers is essential * Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience driving farm vehicles such as tractors and tractor attachments. * Kiwifruit experience is an advantage * Initiative to understand orchard needs and respond accordingly. * The ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical problems. * Good communication skills in spoken and written English. * Willingness to work with agrichemicals.
