In this hands-on leadership role, you'll provide essential support for daily reactive 3 water operations and act as a vital link between the workforce and management. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead a team of workers on-site and be on call as required * Allocate tasks and monitor progress to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met. * Provide training, guidance, and support to team members. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. * Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and other stakeholders. * Assist with planning and scheduling of work activities. * Perform hands-on duties as required, including operating machinery or tools. * Report any issues, delays, or incidents to management promptly. **Skills and Qualifications** * Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (Level 4 Civil Certificate) * Proven experience in a similar role or industry(construction) * Strong leadership and communication skills. * Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, or specifications. * Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices. * Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. **Ko te take ka parekareka e koe ki te mahi ki kōnei | Why you will enjoy working here** Downer is committed to delivering excellence by ensuring our people have the environment and the means to be successful. Their customers range from farmers, contractors to lifestyle block owners and more. they pride themselves on a supportive, hands-on work environment where skill, teamwork, professional and personal growth are highly valued. The right person will ideally be QFD or nearing to the end of their apprenticeship, you will play a key role in maintaining, servicing and repairing a wide range of agricultural machinery, vehicles and equipment so previous agricultural experience is desirable however can be trained. You will work as part of a skilled, hands-on team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring customers machinery is operating safely and efficiently.
