Supervisor Assembly Technician Attn: Electricians, Small Engine Mechanics, Diesel Technicians, Engineers – Head home with clean hands!! At Metalform our assembly team crafts a diverse range of products, from tool vending machines to innovative farm machinery. As our operations expand and incorporate advanced technologies, we’re looking for a skilled individual with experience in either electrical or mechanical assembly, or a combination of the two to join our team. What We’re Looking For: We’re searching for someone with a strong grasp of electrical systems combined with a bit of mechanical know-how and hands-on technical experience. While manufacturing experience is a bonus, a collaborative and positive attitude is essential. This role will see you working closely with our design and mechatronics teams to develop, build and troubleshoot prototypes. However, the main focus will be assembling production runs of high-quality hardware. Skills and Experience Considered Advantageous: • Self-motivation and problem-solving abilities with the capability to manage multiple tasks. • Proven people management skills. • Strong work ethic, reliability, adaptability and a team-oriented mindset. • Ability to collaborate effectively while also excelling as a self-starter. • Comprehensive mechanical knowledge and tool-handling skills with high attention to detail. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead a team and enhance productivity. • Physically fit to handle heavy lifting when required. • Experience in management or team leadership. Additional Desirable Attributes: • Forklift operator’s certificate. • Electronics experience. • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. Position Details: • Full-time, typically Monday to Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm. • Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.
