Opportunities for career progression Our client is seeking a new warehouse operator who wants a long and rewarding career in logistics with a small, dedicated team of professionals who work hard to exceed their clients' expectations daily. They handle a wide range of cargo and will provide ongoing training on all equipment and systems so you can progress in your career. This is a permanent, full-time Monday- Friday position. You will need to be flexible and available to work additional hours during peak season (Dec-Feb). The day-to-day responsibilities: * Loading/unloading materials from containers, air units and trucks with forklifts and by hand. * Carefully checking in / out freight in line with company SOP's, border agency & client requirements. * Checking, stacking away & picking stock from ambient, chilled, frozen areas. * Maintain a clean & organised work environment and follow company policies. * General yard duties and supporting other team members and yard operations as needed. The ideal candidate will have: * Current OSH certificate and F endorsement, with at least 3 years' forklift experience. * A great awareness and attitude towards Health and Safety. * Ability to navigate and operate a computer * A high level of accuracy and attention to detail * Excellent problem-solving and communication skills * Be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting Bonus Skills: * Dairy handling experience, including slipsheet loading * MPI, AP accreditation * Airfreight experience * First aid certificate * Previous forwarding or logistics roles Excellent remuneration is on offer, which will be based on skillset and experience.
