




Summary: This role is the coordination hub for fertiliser spreading operations, focusing on daily planning, customer and driver coordination, and maintaining systems accuracy for efficient service delivery. Highlights: 1. Coordinate daily dispatch and manage fertilizer spreading operations. 2. Liaise with customers and drivers to ensure smooth operations. 3. Support safety and compliance while maintaining accurate job records. You are the coordination hub for our fertiliser spreading operation — turning farmer bookings into a safe, efficient daily plan, keeping customers informed, and keeping our drivers set up to succeed. What you’ll own (core accountabilities) • Daily dispatch planning Build and manage the daily run plan (who/where/what/when) and allocate jobs across spreader trucks. Balance workload, travel time, priority customers, and weather/ground conditions. • Customer coordination Take bookings, confirm timing windows, manage changes, and provide proactive updates when plans shift. • Driver liaison + exception handling Keep two-way comms with operators, solve problems as arise (breakdowns, delays, changes), escalate when needed. • Systems & accuracy Maintain accurate job records, load details, and documentation using company systems • Safety & compliance support Support safe operations by ensuring pre-start checks, fatigue considerations, and required paperwork are completed What success looks like: • Daily plan delivered with minimal rework • Customers kept informed (fewer “where is my truck?” calls) • Driver downtime reduced, better utilisation across fleet • Job data accuracy and clean paperwork • Peak season handled with clear routines and escalation triggers Ideal background: Must-have • Highly organised, calm under pressure, confident communicator (phone + text/email) • Comfortable using systems (Excel/dispatch software) and learning new tools • Practical problem solver; can deal with tricky conversations professionally Nice-to-have • Experience in dispatch, logistics, scheduling, rural services, transport, or operations admin • Familiarity with fleet/route planning systems Not required • You do not need to be a mechanic or have fertiliser industry experience — we can teach the operation. Peak season reality This role gets busy during peak. We manage that by using standard dispatch routines, clear escalation pathways, and seasonal support (assistant/backup coverage).
