We're seeking a Driver Trainer to join our team in the gases industry. In this role, you'll mentor drivers, ensure compliance with transport regulations, and promote a positive work culture. What You Will Enjoy Doing • Train and mentor drivers, ensuring compliance with New Zealand transport regulations • Engage in pre-employment drives, new driver onboarding, and ongoing training including yearly assessments • Conduct post-incident training and assessments, supporting Performance Improvement Plans • Coach drivers on speed, camera use, fatigue management, driving style, and EROAD star ratings • Perform audits on logbooks, fatigue management, customer sites, and trucks • Manage training sessions and records, and coordinate external training opportunities • Recommend drivers for promotions and attend serious incidents to provide advice What Makes You Great • Experience in driver training or a leadership role in the gases industry • Class 2 - 5 license with Dangerous Goods endorsement • Strong understanding of compliance requirements, including NZTA fatigue management • Coaching and mentoring skills to foster driver improvement • Expertise in audits and compliance verification processes • Effective communication skills for impactful training delivery • Ability to analyse driving data to identify high-risk behaviours • Commitment to fostering a positive and resilient workplace culture • Skills that support driver development and operational excellence MUST BE a NZ resident or hold a valid NZ work permit and be residing in the country.
